It's no secret that I'm an avid Lushie. Let's be honest - this time last year I was practically drowning in all sorts of products, and could probably have opened up my own shop to rival even one of their larger stores. Since then though, I've been slowly working through my back stash, and have considerably shortened it down - honestly, it'd got to the point where I had that much built up, I actually put myself on a Lush spending ban. And then one day, they only went and released the Lush 'Rose Jam' Body Spray.

Packed with fresh rose and geranium, Rose Jam has always undoubtedly been one of Lush's most iconic scents. With it's alluring and sweet aromas, Rose Jam has always been a weak spot for me - I can't resist always lathering myself in the stuff to try and get the scent to stick for longer, and now it's been immortalised in a body spray, it feels as though all my prayers have been answered.

Styled after traditional Turkish Delight, the inclusion of delicate rose absolute and rose oil could have tricked me into thinking otherwise. Personally I've never really been a fan of Turkish Delight - it's one of those things that my parents love, and I tried it once and just immediately wasn't a fan. However if Turkish Delight smelt as good as Rose Jam does, I might be persuaded to sway on my aversion just a little.

The rose petals required for the ingredients are hand picked at dawn when the petals are their most fragrant, and when combined with the Egyptian geranium oil, the resulting sweet and floral scent is phenomenal. It's everything the Rose Jam shower gel is (you can check out my full review on that here) and so much more - it's more versatile and can be used more, and to be honest the scent is a lot stronger. Whilst the scent of the shower gel can linger on the skin for a while, it soon fades - but thankfully that's not the case with this body spray. The overall scent is rather strong and distinctive, so it only takes a couple of spritz's or so for me to be perfectly content rather than overwhelmed with it. I've seen a few people state that whilst they love the scent, it is quite powerful, but honestly if you just stick with a couple of small sprays here and there then you will be good to go. It lasts for hours too - I spray some of this on in the morning, and I still get compliments on it hours later.

Now lets talk about that bottle - its definitely distinctive, and would certainly stand out next to any other body sprays on the shelf lets put it that way. It's a decent sized bottle too at 200ml, compared to the average bottles you see in most stores. It also comes with a handy spray nozzle too, but it's the full shape and packaging that really steals the limelight. Whilst it definitely stands out, it also somewhat seems to resemble something like a cleaning product, which is what initially made me do a double take when I first saw it. But as I'm not one to let packaging really affect my judgement, I'd have to say that overall the product is pretty darn impressive. And I'm super happy that I've managed to capture that gorgeous Rose Jam scent in a perfume/spray form!

Have you tried the Rose Jam body mist? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below!
