If all else fails, a good haul is guaranteed to be one of the best ways to lift a mood - and who doesn't love a good bit of retail therapy? I've always found myself happier after a cheeky splash on some new makeup, and Urban Decay can always be counted on for some fantastic high quality products. After all, they are the masterminds between the famous 'Naked' palettes aren't they?

Urban Decay have a pretty good reputation when it comes to their lipsticks, and for a while now I've been lusting after some items from Gwen Stefani's range. Deciding to combine the two, I chose to go for the gorgeous shade 'Rock Steady' , a stunning deep wine colour. With both the lip liner and lipstick in my arsenal, I can't wait to test these out properly - I've heard good things, and I always love rocking a red lip.

The 'De-Slick Mattifying Powder' is a new product to me, but I can already tell it's going to be a firm favourite. Designed to help stop shine and blot oil, the powder is light and translucent, making it perfect for all skin tones. As much as I hate to admit it, I do tend to suffer from shine a lot when it comes to my face - it's something I hate, but it didn't even occur to me that there would be something out there to resolve it until now. Keep your eyes peeled for my full thoughts on this ladies.

Highlighters have been all the rage for a while now, and I'd be lying if I said I haven't brought into the hype. The 'Naked Illuminator' has been around for a quite some time, and when I first saw the release, I must admit I was pretty giddy. Designed the same as the baked bronzer, the highlighter has a subtle iridescent shimmer to it, and can be used all over the body instead of being limited to just the face. Ever since it got here I've loved playing around with the illuminator, and it has to easily be one of my favourite highlighters ever.

Oh Urban Decay, I love you. I'm sure everyone knows by now about the infamous 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' eyeshadow palette, especially considering it's sold out pretty much everywhere. I scoured the internet for what felt like hours on end looking for this beauty and praying it would be in stock somewhere. My perseverance finally payed off and the palette was somehow still in stock at House of Fraiser, so I practically jumped with joy once my order was confirmed. Just look how beautiful it is! There's a variety of fun, vibrant shades mixed in with some gorgeous golden colours, and each name corresponds to some aspect of the film (which I have yet to see). Overall, I can't stop swooning at this stunning palette - I think I may be in love.
