Manicure Mondays #7 | Introducing: Models Own 'Fruit Pastel' Scented Collection

Boy oh boy do I have a sweet treat for you all today. I'll admit, when I first heard the concept of scented nail polishes I was a little skeptical. Afterall, how could anything replace the overpowering scent of nail varnish? Thankfully, with these little scented beauties, I am now thoroughly convinced.

Models Own 'Peach Melba' Fruit Pastel
This was the first of the scented nail polishes I purchased, and I'm so glad I did. It's a lovely pastel orange colour, which I recently wore on my holiday to Turkey. Scent-wise it has a lovely peach tone to it - didn't see that one coming did you? The scent lasts for a surprising amount of time too - for me it lasted days afterwards.

Models Own 'Strawberry Tart' Fruit Pastel
Strawberries are by far my favourite fruit - they taste delicious and always smell fantastic. So I knew I was onto a winner here when I picked up 4 of the minis from TK Maxx. It's the perfect pale pink colour to get away with at work, and has a sugary strawberry smell to it.

Models Own 'Blueberry Muffin' Fruit Pastel
It doesn't look particularly blue in the photo, but it is quite pale to the eye. Out of all the scented collection, this is the one I struggled with the most. I could only faintly smell blueberry, so apart from the colour I wasn't too overwhelmed by this one.

Models Own 'Apple Pie' Fruit Pastel
Such a cute shade of green don't you think?! This has to by far be my favourite. Remember those scented gel pens you used to get from Partners when you were younger? That is exactly what this nail polish reminds me of. It smells so strongly of apple that it almost makes me hungry!

Models Own 'Grape Juice' Fruit Pastel
Going back to the gel pen thing, the purple grape-scented one always used to be my favourite. And that's exactly what Models Own have gone for here. It's a beautiful lilac colour  and is easily buildable to give even coverage.

Overall, every one of the colours are easily buildable to give even and flawless coverage. For the best finish, I'd recommend two coats as in the picture above. Apple Pie and Peach Melba have to be my top two favourites, but what would yours be?

The 'Fruit Pastel' polishes can be purchased here for £4.99 each at full size (14ml). Which one would be at the top of your list?

I haven't purchased any new nail polishes for a while...and with summer coming up, these would be perfect for holidays. Strangely I do like the orange/pink shades (which is unusual for me) but I'd say Apple Pie, Grape Juice & Blueberry Muffins would be my top picks :)

I agree, they're perfect shades for summer. Apply Pie smells fantastic, I guarantee you'll love it (and it'll make you hungry)! xo
