Manicure Mondays #1 | Topshop 'Country Bumpkin'

Evening everyone! Sorry about this being a super late post, but it's been Mumma Dino's birthday so I've had a super busy day between that and revising! So I figured I'd take the time to do this post in my revision break :)

Today I'm starting a new weekly post called 'Manicure Mondays'. Basically, each week I'm going to be reviewing all different nail polishes and who knows, maybe one day I'll eventually get adventurous enough to try my own nail art! I love painting my nails, so I'm really excited about starting this sort-of series, and I hope you all are too! :)

Also, my bad habit is biting my nails like there's no tomorrow...is anyone else the same? The only thing that seems to stop me nibbling away is coating them in paint, which is why my nails are always colourful 90% of the time! I've tried the nailbiter stuff before but yuck...lets just say I'm scarred for life and have terrible memories from my childhood.

So today I'm starting with Topshop's own brand nail polish ('Country Bumpkin' #102). The colour immediately drew me to it, as I'm seriously crushing on these corally (is that even a word?!) kind of colours right now. I'll admit, I've always been cautious when it comes to buying store-brand nail polishes, as I've always pretty much stuck to Rimmel. But I figured it was time to branch out of my comfort zone and stop being quite so paranoid...

First of all, I feel like I should apologize here for the state of my nails! As I've said before (and probably bored you all with my whining) I'm just about to sit my final exam EVER for my degree, so some nail biting is expected right?! Plus this was taken in my study break at my desk...so not the best lighting! Future posts will be top notch I promise ;)

Anyways, on with the review. I was happily surprised with this colour. For me I normally have to apply two coats of polish minimum to make it stand out enough, but with this one, if you fancied it then one coat would have sufficed!

As I stated in my summer wish list, I'm seriously in love with coral colours at the moment so this definitely gets an 'A' from me. If I'd have had more time, I would have loved to do a coat of white at the bottom of the nail near the cuticle as I think it would look lovely with this colour. I've seen a few other bloggers do posts with this design and I have to say, it looks amazing! Hopefully in the future I'll be able to test it out :)

What do you all think? Have you tried Topshop nail polishes before? What are your favourite nail polishes - any recommendations?

I've wanted to try Topshop's nail varnish for ages now but for some reason I have never bought any haha, the brush of white nail varnish idea sounds cute, I may have to try that out as well <3

I wanted to try them forever, but I just never wanted to branch out from my usual brands haha! I'm glad I did, so I'd definitely recommend them Alice! As for the brush of white, I think it's a super cute idea and I can't wait to try it out!

And thank you Sara, I'm glad you like it! This colour is definitely my favourite at the moment!
